This course will explore:

•          what good and better learning looks like

•          understanding a lesson observation (via video material)

•          the use of Ofsted criteria to inform judgments

•          recording evaluative judgments and evaluating the evidence base

•          providing effective feedback to staff

•          The development of personal action plans to secure improvements.

Delegates will be more confident in:

•          using Ofsted criteria to make accurate teaching judgments

•          writing accurate evaluative lesson observation records

•          providing effective feedback to staff, identifying clear strengths and development points

•          writing personal actions plans for staff to improve the quality of their teaching
